WeekendAngeleno started with a simple frustration: LA has an incredible amount of free stuff going on every weekend — outdoor concerts, film screenings, cultural festivals, farmers markets, community celebrations — but it's scattered across dozens of city websites, parks department calendars, and event pages that are hard to find and even harder to compare. This site exists to pull it all into one place.
The directory covers free events across all of LA County — from the San Fernando Valley to the South Bay, from the Westside to the San Gabriel Valley and Southeast LA. The focus is on things that are genuinely fun and open to everyone: outdoor concerts, movie nights in the park, festivals, fitness events, cultural programs, and community celebrations. Government meetings, enrolled classes, and social services are not included — this is a guide for people looking for something to do, not something to sign up for.
Event data is updated daily. Scrapers pull from official city calendars, arts organizations, and sports leagues. The curated entries are researched by hand and verified against 2026 sources before they're added. If a detail can't be confirmed, it's left out or marked TBA — accuracy matters more than completeness.
